• Eurocypria takes delivery of sixth Boeing 737-800w aircraft
16.04.07
Eurocypria, Cyprus’ fastest growing airline has continued its fleet expansion by taking delivery of its sixth brand new Boeing 737-800w aircraft on Saturday, 14th April 2007.

The introduction of Eurocypria’s new hub in Heraklion, Crete and increased passenger demand have been the catalysts for the expansion. The airline underwent a complete renewal of its fleet in spring 2003 with the purchase of four new aircraft. With the additional new Boeing, Eurocypria has now increased its fleet from four to six in the last ten months giving the company a current fleet with an average aircraft age of just eight months. With approximately 5.000 flights planned for 2007, Eurocypria expects to transport over 800.000 passengers.

Even though Eurocypria continues to operate primarily as a charter airline, increasing numbers of passengers are making reservations on many of its flights directly through Eurocypria’s Call Centre (8000 0809) or online on www.eurocypria.com. These are mainly to and from Germany (Munich, Berlin, Dresden, Hanover, Leipzig, Nuremberg, Stuttgart), England (Newcastle, Humberside, Manchester, etc), as well as St. Petersburg three times a week.
