Cyprus Airways has accepted the Government’s sale proposal for the purchase of 100% share capital of Eurocypria Airlines. The value of this transaction is CYP13.425 million which represents the market value of Eurocypria Airlines. According to the General Manager of Eurocypria Airlines, Mr. George Souroullas, the change in the ownership of the company is not expected to affect Eurocypria’s strategy and operation. The company will stay focused in continuing the successful course that it has pursued during the past few years. Eurocypria Airlines currently operates 5 Boeing 737-800w aircraft and one Airbus A320 leased from Cyprus Airways. The A320 as well as one of the Boeing aircraft are based in Heraklion, where the company maintains an operational basis, apart from Larnaca and Paphos, operating flights to European airports.
